Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing the Crkle browser extension, downloading the Crkle desktop app, or creating a Crkle account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Crkle.

2. The service

Crkle provides AI prompt enhancement and context memory features via a Chrome extension and desktop application. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Crkle to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Crkle API.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use automated scripts to artificially inflate enhancement counts or leaderboard rankings.
• Circumvent usage limits or billing controls.

4. Subscription and billing

Crkle offers a Free plan and paid plans (Pro, Power). Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Prices may change with 30 days notice.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of any content you store in Crkle (context files, memory blocks). By storing content in Crkle, you grant us a limited licence to process and display it solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Crkle is provided "as is" without any warranty. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that enhanced prompts will produce any particular outcome. AI model outputs are not our responsibility.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crkle's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
